?? Guide: Remove Apple-ID and Reset Mac

Step 1: Sign out of Apple-ID & disable “Find My Mac”

  1. Open System Settings
  2. Click your name at the top (Apple ID section)
  3. Go to iCloud
  4. Scroll down and click “Show All”
  5. Click on “Find My Mac” and disable it
  6. Enter your Apple ID password to confirm
  7. Back in Apple ID section: click “Sign Out”

Step 2: Factory Reset the Mac

  1. Shut down the Mac
  2. Hold the Power button until “Options” appears
  3. Choose “Options” > “Continue”
  4. From the menu, open Disk Utility
  5. Select the main drive (e.g. Macintosh HD) > Erase
    • Format: APFS
  6. Close Disk Utility
  7. Choose Reinstall macOS
  8. Follow the prompts to wipe & reinstall the system

Note: If the Apple ID is not removed, the Activation Lock will remain active.
This means the Mac cannot be fully used or set up by a new owner.
