?️ WireGuard VPN Installation on macOS

This guide covers how to install and set up WireGuard on macOS using the official app.

✅ Requirements

• macOS 11 (Big Sur) or later
• Admin privileges
• VPN configuration file (provided by your VPN provider or admin)

1. ? Install the WireGuard App

1. Open the App Store.
2. Search for WireGuard.
3. Click Get and install the official WireGuard app.
   • Developer: WireGuard LLC
4. Once installed, launch the app from your Applications folder.

2. ? Import Configuration

1. Click “Import tunnel(s) from file…”
2. Select your .conf file provided by your admin
3. The configuration will appear in the list

3. ? Grant Permissions

• On first use, macOS will ask you to allow VPN configurations
• Click Allow
• Enter your admin password or Touch ID to confirm

4. ? Connect to VPN

• Toggle the switch next to the tunnel name to connect
• Status should show “Connected”
• Toggle again to disconnect

? Uninstall (if needed)

• Simply delete the app from Applications
• VPN profiles are stored under:

~/Library/Application Support/WireGuard/

• You can remove these files manually if you want a clean uninstall.
