# ?️ Setting up Konica Minolta bizhub c301i on macOS

> ⚠️ **Important:** You must be connected to the **PET VPN** if you're on WiFi, otherwise the printer will not be reachable at its network IP.

## ✅ 1. Download the Driver

1. Visit the official **Konica Minolta Download Centre**:  
   [https://www.konicaminolta.eu/eu-en/support/download-centre](https://www.konicaminolta.eu/eu-en/support/download-centre)

2. Search for **“bizhub c301i”**.

3. Select your model and go to the **Drivers** tab.

4. Choose the correct macOS version (e.g. macOS 13–15).

5. Download the driver package (usually a `dmg` file e.g. `IT6PSMACOS_5213AMU.dmg` ).

## ? 2. Install the Driver

1. Click on the downloaded `dmg` file.

2. Run the included installer and follow the prompts.

3. Restart your Mac if necessary.

## ? 3. Add the Printer (via Static IP)

While **connected to PET VPN**, follow these steps:

1. Open **System Settings** > **Printers & Scanners**

2. Click the **“+”** button to add a new printer

3. Select the **IP** tab

4. Enter the following values:

   - **Address**: `128.130.140.133`
   - **Protocol**: `Internet Printing Protocol / IPP`
   - **Queue**: 
   - **Name**: `PET Printer`
   - **Location**: `FB0316A`
   - **Use**: Click **“Select Software…”**, then search and choose the **Konica Minolta C301i PS** driver

5. Click **Add**

6. The printer includes an external finisher (FS-539) which provides **stapling** functionality. Additional finishing options (stapling, trays, duplex unit, etc.) can be configured afterwards if needed.

- **Printer not showing up?**  
  - Ensure PET VPN is running  
  - Make sure you're on the correct WiFi or Ethernet

- **Need a test page?**  
  - Go to **Printers & Scanners**, select the printer, and click **Print Test Page**
